CRANBERRY OATMEAL SNACK COOKIES

2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 1/2 cup flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 six oz. Craisins dried cranberries
2/3 cup white or semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven to 375.  Using an electric mixer, beat the
butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs and
mix well.

Combine dry ingredients in another bowl.  Add to butter
mixture in several additions, mixing well after each
addition.  Stir in Craisins and chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.  Makes 2 doz.
